About the Authors
Kim Hodous
Kim Hodous knows the landscape of loss intimately. After her two-year-old daughter Chelsea's transition due to leukemia, Kim sought happiness within grief's shadows, eventually becoming a sought-after inspirational speaker known as "The Happiness Speaker." She built a successful career inspiring audiences nationwide while raising her other children and creating a thriving jewelry business.
When her son Rob died unexpectedly in 2022, Kim's world was shattered once again. The extraordinary connection that developed between them after his transition has transformed her understanding of life, death, and the resilient power of love. Today, Kim channels her unique experiences into helping others find healing, connection and ultimately, happiness. She lives in Arkansas, where she continues to find joy in the mysteries of life!
Rob Hodous
Rob Hodous lived with intensity, humor, and a depth of feeling that both enriched and challenged his 29 years earthside. A gifted tennis coach adored by his students, Rob's journey included struggles with addiction that ultimately led to his transition in February 2022.
Since then, Rob has been remarkably active from the other side, sharing wisdom about earthly existence that only an expanded perspective could provide. His insights on everything from friendship to the true nature of reality form the heart of this book. According to Rob, he didn't die—he just changed form.
